Obesity Prevention,​ Assessment and Treatment Algorithm

This algorithm, based on the 2007 Expert Committee Recommendations and informed by the most recent research and consensus statements, was specifically developed to assist primary care providers in assessing and managing obesity prevention and assessment for patients > 2 years of age.  It supports a comprehensive approach at the point of care and simplifies existing guidance into algorithm. HALF Implementation Guide
The Healthy Active Living for Families: Right From the Start (HALF) Implementation Guide is an online resource for pediatricians to enhance obesity prevention for children birth to age 5 via primary care.  The evidence based guide identifies risk patterns associated with obesity and highlights key topics to cover during varies developmental stages. Healthy Growth App
The Healthy Growth App allows a healthcare provider and parent to identify healthy active living topic areas that are important to the family during a patient encounter. The resulting personalized action strategies can be printed or emailed directly to the parent. Content is available in English and Spanish

Next Steps Spanish Flip Chart

The Next Steps resource is designed to help clinicians with weight management in the context of follow-up visits in the primary care office.  The Next Steps guide and flip chart helps the clinician by outlining a series of planned follow-up visits designed to teach evidence-based weight managment strategies that can lead to success for the practitioner and patient.
